Fakenham Gateway Sure Start Children's Centre is looking for a Deputy Manager to work 32 hours per week all year round on maternity cover.
The role is to support the Centre Manager in the development of services within the Children's Centre reach area. You will be able to monitor, evaluate and implement services for families with children under the age of five, measuring impact and improving outcomes to ensure that local and national service specifications are being met.
You will support the development of strong and effective working relationships with a range of partner agencies including parents and will line manager all staff employed within universal services.
You will support the Centre Manager to lead the Children's Centre team in order to develop high quality services for families.
All applicants must have a Level Four qualification in Early Years or equivalent (preferably relating to Health, Education, Childcare or Social Work) and have at least two years experience in working within the early years sector. You will have successful experience in team leadership and working within a community, hold a valid driving licence and be able to develop plan and objectives into outcomes.

We are looking to appoint an LSA to work in class or with small groups and individual students to support learning and progress at CNS. This includes more specialised support for those students whom have additional needs/SEND. You will need to have the ability to attend to the physical, personal care and social needs of students depending on the nature of their need.

You will need to possess a genuine interest in young people and an insight into how they learn. Patience, flexibility and firmness are very important personal traits alongside good literacy/numeracy and ICT skills. You should show the ability to use initiative to support students individual needs and to work as part of a large team. Experience of working with young people with SEN and emotional/social difficulties would be an advantage. Most of the LSAs work takes place in mainstream classrooms.
